Perl, PHP & MySQL Projects
- Zimfest 2003 Workshop Display Generator — A Perl script retreives data from text files and creates a web page based on which navigation link the visitor clicks. (Click “By Category,” “By Session,” or “By Teacher,” then continue.)
- Zimfest 2004 Workshop Display Generator — A PHP script retreives data from a MySQL database and creates a web page based on which navigation link the visitor clicks. (Click “By Category,” “By Session,” or “By Teacher,” then continue.) The 2003 system worked flawlessly, but I rewrote it in PHP and MySQL.
- Content Rotator — Perl script that changes the photos on the Zimfest site every day at midnight. I’ve released this as freeware and at least one other site is using it.
- Tic Tac Toe Game — Final exam in a web programming class. I didn’t write all the code, just some to finish it. I’ve also improved the interface.
JavaScript Tricks
I generally prefer server-side scripting, so I don’t use JavaScript very much. But I can use it when needed. I completed these assignments for a web programming class.
